Rebrand, Landing Page, and Materials for Luxium Solutions

Challenge

When SK Capital and Edgewater Capital took over Saint-Gobain Crystals, they faced a unique challenge. They needed to rebrand the company and quickly announce it to the world using new marketing materials. To tackle this, they turned to Haystack for support.

Approach

As an engineering materials company that creates critical components that keep us safe and curious—like lenses for medical radiation detection, space exploration, surgery, and complex lasers—this division of Saint-Gobain wanted a new name and logo that captured its history while reflecting a forward-thinking approach to a broader scope of services.

After multiple rounds of naming iterations, we strategically arrived at Luxium Solutions. Lux, derived from the Latin for light, references their work, and the suffix -ium signifies a sense of premium quality. We incorporated a theme of protection and connectivity, crafting a distinctive logo composed of lines radiating from a central shield in a rich blue gradient that adds a sense of movement and shine.

Once the new brand was established, our digital team launched a temporary landing page to share the news. Finally, our print and presentation team created a PowerPoint template for future deck work.

Results

Luxium now empowers the world with a rebrand that positions it as a global industry leader while nodding to its foundational products and core business. The successful refresh gave a new look under new leadership.

As an added bonus, the branding work on this project won MUSE and Graphis awards.
