Writing on-line is VERY different from any other media. It must be “bite-sized” content, friendly and relevant. My friend Manny recently sent me this list of the 7 critical web writing mistakes (which I think is a great summary) as determined by the American Management Association:
1. Your writing isn’t scannable
2. You don’t understand SEO
3. You use brochure-speak and jargon
4. You don’t get to the point
5. Your writing is sloppy
6. Your writing is passive
7. Your content is stale
